A Gift

Over 12 years ago, Dad gave Mom a gift.

The gift of a little German Shepherd puppy, named Kaiser.

He looked like a little baby polar bear.

Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don't even know we have.

Kaiser coined the phrase "puppy dog eyes"...

Watching him play gave our family great joy.

He was a happy little guy.

He made lots of friends.

Some might say he was a seasoned traveller...

Whenever Kaiser came to visit, friends welcomed him with open arms.

He gave life his ALL, and took rests whenever possible.

He was always game for a princess tea party,

playing play-doh,

a quick game of hoops,

or a dress-up party...

He was not just a pet, he was a part of the family.

Kaiser went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7th, 2011.  He was 85 in dog-years.  As you can see, he lived a long, exciting, love-filled life.  He's in heaven now with his friends Buddy, Bailey, Cookie, Benie, Laddie, Mandy, Buster, Morris, Fluffer and all the other pets we have loved and lost.  Rest in peace, dear Kaiser.  Thank you for the love you gave, it will live in our hearts forever.
